Why students love guitar
Mobile, fun, and endlessly flexible — on whichever guitar you choose.
Guitar is one of the most popular instruments for a reason: it's easy to carry, endlessly fun, and works across nearly every style of music. Choose acoustic, electric, or bass — our teachers are proficient on all three, so your student can try each one.
We offer private lessons for ages 5 through adult (beginner through advanced) and group lessons for ages 7–13. Explore rock, jazz, country, blues, classical, or whatever your student is into — lessons are tailored to how they want to learn, not a fixed curriculum.
Feel free to bring in a song from your phone or record parts of your lesson to help you practice at home. It's your music — we're just here to help you play it.
What lessons here are like
Music your student actually wants to play
A real studio with full-time staff — not a basement setup — built around the style of music your student loves.

We care about your musical interests
Loving the music you play is essential to a good lesson experience. Our teachers help you find and play the style you love — rock, pop, worship, bluegrass, or classical — and help you discover a new one if you don't have a favorite yet.

Good technique starts here
Style matters, but so does technique. We make sure every student learns the "right" way — reading music, chords, playing by ear — so they can be a successful guitarist for life.

Real performance opportunities
Each May, students can perform in our Spring Formal recitals alongside our full student body — never a fee for parents to attend, and never required.

Common questions
Guitar lessons: frequently asked questions
Should we start with acoustic, electric, or bass?+
Whatever your student is excited about — our teachers are proficient on all three, so you can start with one and switch, or try each along the way. There's no wrong first choice.
What styles of guitar can I learn?+
All styles — acoustic or electric, solo or in a band, pop, rock, worship, bluegrass, jazz, country, blues, or classical. We'll help you develop the skills to play whatever you want to play.
Who are your guitar teachers?+
Highly-qualified instructors with warm personalities and a real passion for teaching, hand-picked from across the Treasure Valley. All teachers undergo professional background checks before working with students.
How long does it take to learn guitar?+
There's no single answer, but with regular practice a basic level can be reached in a few months. Most students stay long-term because they enjoy consistently improving.
I don't have a musical background — can I still help my child practice?+
Yes. Your teacher can give you simple things to listen for, and you're welcome to sit in on lessons occasionally to see how a song should sound and how hands should be positioned.
Do we need to buy a guitar before lessons start?+
You'll want a guitar to practice on at home, but your teacher is happy to advise on the right size and type before you buy anything, so you don't overspend on gear you don't need yet.
